Zubeda

"My dream is for my children to go to college and to buy a house."

Zubeda was born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and lived there with her parents and six siblings. At eight years old, she and her family escaped the war and found shelter in a Tanzanian refugee camp.

After six years, Zubeda’s family eventually moved to a town in Burundi where she met her husband and had two children. In 2018, Zubeda and her family were offered the opportunity to relocate to the United States, leaving behind her beloved husband who continues to work as a computer repairman there.

Today Zubeda shares a home in Massachusetts with her mother, siblings, two children, nieces and nephews. She joined Prosperity Candle in November 2020 to provide for her family. Her dream is for her children to go to college, to see her husband again and to own her own home.
